ENG Language Justice Legacies, Realities, and Futures Roundtable
More than 25 million U.S. residents are classified as Limited English Proficient, yet no federal standards or consistent investment exist for language services in healthcare settings and elsewhere, leading some to declare that the “revolution will not be in English.” In this roundtable, our panelists will discuss historical legacies, current realities, and future possibilities of language services/philosophies for abolishing harmful societal/public-health practices and building trusting/visceral relationships.
